Embedding computer systems with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electronic system, often with real-time, safety, security, and reliability constraints. Typically includes interfacing with hardware, mechanical sensors and actuators for monitoring and control mostly in applications for energy including IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
Information systems for enterprise-wide integrated information is common place today. Although there are many different application systems available with various implementation methodologies our experience in real-world enterprice and manufacturing environments include implementation of SAP R/3, Oracle ERP and Microsoft Dynamics.
